MISSING PIECE(Part 1)
“Hello, Miss Linda. Please, I need you in my office right now. Thanks”. He drops the reciever and goes through the files once again. Not too long, the door opens and a lady walked in.
“You sent for me, sir”, she said.
“Yes, I did. Is the CEO around?”, he asked. “Yes, sir. He came in about thirty minutes ago.”
“All right. Please, help me give it to him. I need to go get something he asked for. I don’t want to keep him waiting. I’ll be with him as soon as I get back.”
“Okay, sir. I’ll do just that.”
“Thank you.” She left his office.
Armstrong was proud of himself and his work so far with the company, Hills Group Construction. The list for those due for promotion had just been released and he was elated to see his name there. He knew he’d get it. His phone rang. He looked at it. My sweet wife, he thought.
“Hello, love. How are you?”, he asked.
“I’m fine. I hope you would come back from work on time?”, she asked from the other end.
“Why? Missing me already?”, he asked mischievously. She chuckled. “Don’t use that voice on me, okay? Just come home early. We’re having dinner……alone”.
“Hmmm…..I love the sound of that. And the kids?”
“At my mum’s. They’d be there for the weekend.”, she replied.
“Perfect, I can’t wait. Today’s Friday, so we’ll close on time. See you later.” “Okay, bye.”
He ended the call, smiling. Ahh! Yes, the boss sent me on an errand, he remembered.

12 NOON(ARMSTRONG’s OFFICE)
He was exhausted. He sat down to relax for a while. The door opened and the secretary, Linda, entered.
“Excuse me, sir. Mr. Alao said you should see him in his office right now. It’s about the report.”
“Oh! Of course. I’m on my way now”, he said.
