It’s already two weeks since j started writing this to you guys ooo.
Today, we did a lot of cooking. A lot. My feet still aches from standing for so long. It hurts 😭
I saw Doggie a lot today because I was going outside every now and then. One of our neighbors left her baby with us. I turn to baby soother today ooo.
The baby woke up and started crying. I carried on my back, fed him friend rice and meat (he ate it ooo) but still kept crying. It had been a while I had to take care of babies. The last time was my baby Zainab in 2018.
But Zainab did not worry her mother and I like this ooo. Ahh! The stress sef over much. I’m sure I lost weight before the mother returned😂😂😂
Anyway, when he cries, I’ll stand in front of Doggie and be singing, “Oya, see dog. Oya, see dog. Don’t cry again. Don’t cry again.”
The baby was so fascinated by Doggie and would stop crying. Then, I’ll be happy and we’ll go inside. Not up to five minutes later, cry will start again.
The cycle will get repeated.
E reach one stage, I told him, “Na me you wan put for work, abi? Nor be me and you. Debbie, come carry ooo.” Debbie (my cousin) was actually the one asked to look after him. As a good Nigerian and future mother that I am, I stepped in to help. But as it is, my help is not needed and I cannot come and gwan die, biko. My children still need their momma. 😂
That was the last time I saw Doggie sha.
But it kept barking almost everytime. When I looked through the window, I saw it was because some people (who obviously were not tenants) were passing by every now and then. So, Doggie was doing what it knows best – bark at them.
10.10 p.m.
I just woke up some minutes ago. God! I am so tired right now. I slept around past six this evening when I could not just hold it again. I’m glad I did. I feel much relaxed but very hungry.
Right now, Doggie is still barking. I hope it settles before I go to bed again. See ya tomorrow!
(To be continued…..)
