BE YOU!

A lot of us have had to say this to one person you felt was not taking control of his/her life.

Living your life to please someone else is really exhausting. And I mean this in every sense of the word.

Most times, you know you don’t want to but you end up doing it. 

I know this so well because I have been here. For years, actually. 

At first, it makes sense to you. You feel like you’re doing something important, like you’re part of something, like you’re adding value. But over time, you’d see the opposite; it is frustrating, time consuming and the person/people you’re going all out for do not care or are never satisfied. But yet, you keep at it.

For some of us, it is/was family-related. For some, it is/was friends-related or romantically-related.

I AM NOT HERE TO JUDGE.

But if you take your time to sit and reflect, you can be a judge of the things happening around and with you.

Open your eyes and your understanding. If you find yourself in this situation, it is high time you took a stand. A stand FOR YOU! 

You’ll be yelled at, yes. You’ll be mocked, definitely. Abused verbally, most likely. 

But don’t back down! It is your walk to freedom. Freedom to act for yourself. Freedom to stand by yourself. YOUR FREEDOM TO BE YOU!
